Going into the playoffs a lot of people recognized this team for its three-point shooting, and for good reason. With the additions of Belinelli and Ilyasova, our bench got stronger and our three-point shooting excelled. Other than in game one against the Heat we haven’t seen much of that in the postseason. I think anyone can agree, heading into round two our three-point percentage needed to improve.
I was pumped for this game. Maybe I was being too optimistic, but when the game first started I was excited. This was it. We were at home. We were going to come back and everything was going to go back to plan. Yeah. That didn’t happen.
If I have to hear the word physicality one more time. Goddamm. Every game this series has followed a very similar pattern for the Sixers. Sloppy start, a good run in the second half, either in the third or fourth quarter, and a slight upgrade in defense during that run. This game wasn’t very different.
